After Appointment
One Week After:
Since permanent makeup often appears too dark for about a week following the procedure, and delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly, or redden, it is advised not to make social plans for about a week. Lip liner may appear severely chapped and/or crusty for up to one week. Of course this is different from person to person. Really, only you, will know.
Pain & Relaxation:
Important: If you have any allergies to anesthetics, I need to know this in before your scheduled appointment.
Eyebrow Procedure:
Minimal swelling, you can resume as normal right after brows are commpleted. Generally produce minimal pain to no pain and the after care topical creme is normally sufficient. At about the third day the brows will exfoliate and will flake, continue to use the post care ointment supplied.
Eyeliner Procedure:
Slight to moderate swelling can occur. Please schedule functions and event planning with this in mind. Consider taking Antihistamines such as Benadryl, before the procedure as it may reduce swelling and help you relax. You may also ask your physician to prescribe Xanax for you if you are particularly apprehensive about someone being close to your eyes. I recommend that you plan for transportation home if taking medication for anxiety or relaxation.
Lip Procedure:
Slight to moderate swelling will occur. please plan events and funtions with thos in mind.
I use a formulated topical to ensure that you will be comfortable during this procedure. The lips are not skin, like other makeup tattooing area's therefore the pigment must be layered and may take up to three visits to ensure good color retention.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is normally sufficient to control any discomfort or occasional pain due to the procedures.

Factors that can have adverse healing affects include:
Incorrect Pre & Post Care:
If you do not follow the instructions, you cannot expect the best results. It's almost impossible to do the right thing every second of the day... this is one reason we need to do followup visits. If you let the area get dry, you've just lost some color. So you have to be prepared to take care of it for about 5-10 days (24/7). The faster you heal, the more color is retained.
